Woodworking & Horticulture
In addition to visual arts, painting, drawing, and textile programs, Inspire Arts CT offers hands-on woodworking, woodcraft, and horticulture programming at our Avon, Connecticut location. These creative programs provide artists with opportunities to work with natural materials, develop practical skills, collaborate with others, and explore new forms of artistic expression.
Our Woodcraft and Horticulture Studio reflects the broader mission of Inspire Arts CT: creating meaningful opportunities for individuals to discover their abilities, build confidence, and engage in creative activities that support personal growth and community connection.
Horticulture Program Coordinator Mike Waters works alongside our artists and participants, supporting creative projects and helping bring new ideas to life. His involvement adds another dimension to our Avon-based creative programming, connecting art, woodworking, horticulture, nature, and hands-on learning.
The photographs below highlight a collection of collaborative woodworking and horticulture projects created by Inspire Arts CT artists over the past several years, including work developed with former Woodcraft Instructor Keith Merwin. These projects demonstrate the creativity, craftsmanship, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities of the artists involved.
We look forward to continuing to expand our Inspire Arts CT woodworking and horticulture programs in Avon and sharing new projects, including recent garden creations, as they develop.
