In December of 2024, our Senior Arts Program Manager, Rebecca Maloney and artist LaRey Pablo, were invited to participate in a conversation on NPR’s “Where We Live.” LaRey’s journey with us exemplifies the transformative power of art in the brain injury community. Her artwork not only showcases immense talent but also the resilience and creativity that our artists bring to the program.
BIAC Walk for thought
Each year, the Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut (BIAC) hosts its “Walk for Thought” event, bringing our community together in a meaningful way to raise awareness and critical funding that supports and inspires individuals and families affected by brain injury.
Inspire Arts will be at the Sunday, October 11th, 2026 event in Northwest Park Manchester, CT 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

4th National Disability and Agriculture Conference
We will be presenting a table with artists work at Healing By Growing Farms 4th Annual National Conference - Wednesday, May 6, 2026
Join us for a vital gathering that brings together the heartbeat of our food system: farmers, food industry providers, health and human service professionals, community and faith-based groups, brain injury and trauma survivors, and our Youth Ambassadors—the next generation of growers. We are convening to share healing and empowering stories, learn new knowledge, and access vital resources.

We are excited to be showcasing four of our artists work in this community exhibit at CT State Capital Community College. The National Arts Program aims to build pride and community by recognizing the artistic talent of everyday people within their own workplaces or communities.

Bradley international Airport Group Exhibition
We are thrilled to announce our group exhibition at the Sheraton Corridor gallery at Bradley International Airport. Bradley has been increasing the impact of the arts with numerous art exhibits and sees an average of 9000 visitors daily. This exhibit will be on display through June and features many new works created by our talented artists. We appreciate the opportunity to create a visual experience for travelers and to increase brain injury awareness.

Inspire Arts Group Exhibition at the East Hartford Public Library
The next Inspire Arts group exhibition will be on display September 3rd - October 29th. Celebrate all the talented artists at the opening reception, in the Atrium space on Thursday, September 18, at 5:30 PM - for all ages.
This exhibit demonstrates the transformative power of art in the brain injury community and showcases both immense talent but also the resilience and creativity that our artists bring to their work.

Congratulations to Grace! Three of her works of art have been accepted into Out of Many: Celebration of Caribbean Culture, a vibrant exhibit honoring the richness, diversity, and creative spirit of the Caribbean.

3rd National Disability and Agriculture Conference

The 3rd National disABILITY & agriCULTURE Conference, "Heal and Empower," is hosted by Healing By Growing Farms. This vital gathering, taking place on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 8:00am-4:00pm at Harkness Park in Waterford, CT. The conference will bring together farmers, food industry providers, health and human service professionals, community and faith-based groups, brain injury and trauma survivors, and (youth) our next generation of growers to share healing and empowering stories, learn new knowledge, resources, and best practices. This year's conference focuses on empowering attendees to "Heal and be Empowered" by addressing the mental health challenges and stress prevalent in the farming industry, including those stemming from trauma and brain injury.
4th Annual Fiber Arts Exhibit
Fiber Arts have a long tradition not only of utility but of storytelling and personal expression. This exhibit celebrates the hard work and creativity of fiber artists, from quilting and embroidery to dressmaking and sculpture. Congratulations to Grace Miller-Kaggwa who’s embroidery work was accepted into this exhibit! Her piece titled, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce” will be on display with all the other incredible community fiber art.

“The Accessible Artist” Gallery Exhibition
BCC Presents “The Accessible Artist” Gallery Exhibition – Showcasing Artists with Disabilities
The Accessible Artist exhibition calls for work from artists who have any type of disability whether that be physical, mental, developmental, psychological, or otherwise invisible. The art should connect to the artist’s disability in some capacity whether that be a direct correlation or inspiration of their experience or a reflection of their disability and their community.
The Accessible Artist provides a space for disabled artists to share their art and fine craft that, by nature, speaks of or to the experience of the artist’s disability.
Please join us to celebrate five of our talented artists: Jen Krout, Grace Miller-Kaggwa, LaRey Pablo, and Greg Pastore who will join the other artists at the Lynn Tendler Bignell Gallery for the art reception on June 22nd.
