Swirls of Peace

$150.00
sold out

Swirls of Peace is Outsider Artist and Brain Injury Survivor, LaRey Pablo’s first creation to incorporate reclaimed materials to raise sustainability awareness. Her selection of the peace sign, which was the symbol originally designed for the British nuclear disarmament movement in 1958, occurred due to the current pressure to secure greater energy sustainability across the globe and the subsequent tensions that the push is causing.

Swirls of Peace was created from individually shaved pieces of wood, from reclaimed sources, to enable the iconic logo to occur when viewed from the right angle. This technique further exposes the sustainable energy crisis being impacted by the many viewpoints taken by those involved in the arguments for and against the process.
